Weekly Mindfulness Meditation Drop-In Group

Support and Connection to Cultivate a Consistent Meditation Practice

Wednesdays from 12:15-12:45pm

Live Online Sessions, Starting May 1st, 2024 for 8 weeks

Regular meditation has been shown to improve resilience and overall health and wellbeing. Practice self-awareness and develop more compassionate and skillful ways of being with your daily experiences through formal meditation practice.

These drop-in sessions are suited to health plan members who have some familiarity with mindfulness and meditation. Ideally participants have taken our 5-week Mindfulness and Meditation course, or otherwise have previous experience with mindfulness. Sessions are practice-focused: guidance is provided, instruction is limited. We will practice various forms of mindfulness meditation together, including practices in stillness (done lying down, seated or standing), as well as mindful movement. Meditations will run approximately 20 minutes, with optional time for community dialogue and questions.

Registration for part/full series of sessions can be made with a minimum $20 donation to the DTES Women’s Shelter here.
