Dr. Laura Lassila, MD, CCFP, NCMP
Dr. Lassila graduated from the University of Ottawa Medical School 1999, and completed her Family Medicine Residency program at University of Calgary in 2001. Dr. Lassila has worked as a family physician for 19 years in Calgary as well as in medical education for a decade. With experience in Community Health, Eating Disorders, Women’s Health and as a Lactation Consultant, Dr. Lassila has had many years in managing a wide variety of women’s wellness concerns in an allied team approach. This variety of experience has supported Dr. Lassila’s appreciation of the integration of medicine and alternative treatments to deepen patients health experience. It has also fostered her desire to look deeper into managing hormonally related symptoms and developing a true preventative care practice for women.
A passionate and dynamic professional, Dr. Lassila holds a degree in Family Medicine, is a certified Menopause Practitioner through the North American Menopause society. To round out her education Dr. Lassila is completing her Fellowship in Anti-aging, Metabolic and Functional Medicine for the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (FAAMM) and has attended Advanced Metabolic Endocrinology conferences in the A4M program. Dr. Lassila’s philosophy is integrating Family Medicine, NAMS training and training in functional medicine/personalized HRT allows use of a wide variety of tools to help you achieve your optimal health so you can live a healthier and happier life. Dr. Lassila is dedicated to helping women feel their best and improve their foundation for better health and a better life.
