BOOKING: No referral is required. Due to the demand for appointments, there is a $75 non-refundable administrative fee for all Initial Consult cancellations. A $175 fee will be charged for no-shows and failure to cancel or reschedule an Initial Consult appointment with less than 3 business days notice. Follow-up visits require 24-hour notice to cancel or reschedule; failure to do will result in a $88 fee. No further appointments will be scheduled until fees are settled. Please arrive on time for your appointments. If you arrive late, your appointment with your physician will be shortened or you may be asked to reschedule. A $75 administration fee will also be applied if patients are unable to complete their health plan after full payment has been made. Medical services rendered- including diagnostics- are not refundable.
PARKING: free underground parking is available . Entry is through the lane and shared with the IGA.
PRESCRIPTIONS: Your physician will provide you with enough prescriptions to last until your next 30-minute follow-up visit. Please ensure you have your prescriptions filled at each follow-up visit. Should you require a prescription refill prior to your follow-up, have your pharmacy fax a prescription renewal request to 604-738-9605. Allow at least 1 week for faxed refills to be processed. A $30.00 fee applies to prescription renewals by telephone or fax for patients not on a health plan.
TREATMENT PLANS: Once a treatment plan is set, try not to alter from the program without talking with your physician. Experience has shown that patients who maintain their treatment plan get the fastest and best results.
FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENTS: It is your responsibility to book your 30-minute check-up appointments so please bring your personal day planner to every appointment. Should you experience symptoms that require attention, please call and book a 10-minute trouble-shooting appointment. We cannot give laboratory or x-ray results over the phone, nor will we call you if the tests are normal. If required, we will schedule a 10-minute check-in to review test results. Telephone appointments cannot be booked for these appointments with the exception of out-of-town patients.
TELEPHONE CALLS: Our phone lines are open Monday to Friday 9 am to 4 pm with closure during lunch from 12-1PM. Our telephone lines are very busy and your patience is appreciated. Please leave only one message with your full name and telephone number and one of our staff will return your call as soon as possible

PAYMENT: A deposit of $350.00 is required at the time of booking your Initial Consultation. We accept credit card payment via phone. We do not accept cheques via mail. A second payment of $690.00 ($745.00 for male patients) is due upon receipt of your 24-hour comprehensive urine testing kit. The remaining balance of $925.00 is due at your hormone test results interpretation appointment. Payment plans are available. Administrative fees apply.
MSP COVERAGE: The annual health plan, 24-hour urine comprehensive hormone testing, referrals to integrated medicine professionals, and education initiatives offered by Westcoast Women's Clinic are not covered by MSP. These preventative health services may be included in some extended health care packages.
EXTENDED HEALTH COVERAGE: We do not accept insurance assignments on your extended medical benefits. Please contact your insurance carrier directly to determine if they will cover any of our preventative health services. Ask your insurance company about "physician-based risk assessments" or "wellness coverage".
REFERRALS: Referrals to specialists can be arranged if they are medically necessary and are relevant to your care at Westcoast Women's Clinic.
FRAGRANCES: Due to the sensitivity of some of our patients, we ask that you do not wear perfume, cologne, after-shave or strongly scented lotions on the day of your appointment.
PRIMARY CARE SERVICES: We do not provide primary care services. Please see your family doctor for general health care concerns.
DISABILITY & UNEMPLOYMENT CLAIMS: We do not provide services for disability and unemployment claims, and other similar services requiring the completion of forms.Please see your family doctor for these issues.
EMERGENCY SERVICES: We do not provide on-call or emergency services. If you are in need of emergency services after office hours, call 911 or go to your nearest hospital emergency department.
