Dr. Jessica Shintani, BSc, MD, CCFP

Dr. Shintani brings an incredible wealth of life experience to the Westcoast Women's Clinic. After completing an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, with a strong interest in plant chemistry and the spiritual and medicinal use of plants, Dr. Shintani received her medical degree from UBC in 1984. She continued her medical training at Queen's University, obtaining certification in Family Practice in 1986, and has been a family physician for over 20 years. Dr. Shintani's medical education and experience, combined with her passion for life - volunteering, singing, mountain climbing, running marathons, teaching and yoga - enables her to understand and appreciate the uniqueness of each patient, which is an important component of the philosophy at Westcoast Women's Clinic.
